Shelly Elle is an artistic and charismatic pole performer and pro status pole competitor. Her performance pieces are inspired by everything from celluloid heroes and villains (Willy Wonka to Alex Delarge) to classic cabaret-she is known for her unique and beautiful costumes-hats have become her trademark.

Shelly comes from a family of expressive freestyle dancers with no formal dance training.  It wasn’t until entering college that Shelly stepped into her first dance class, 4 years later she was awarded a dance scholarship to The Dancer’s Synectics Group in San Francisco, California (now known as DSG Studios). Here, under the direction of Ann Marie Garvin, she studied jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet, and modern, and now teaches women and men of all skill levels the art of pole.

Shelly entered the competitive pole dancing circuit in 2010 placing 1st runner-up in the USPDF West Coast Regional competition and was awarded national pro competitor status.  As a competitor competing alongside those much younger than she, Shelly has inspired many women within the pole community to follow their passion in spite of stereotypes regarding age.  Shelly’s competition credits include:
